Central Plastics’ mission is to be a profitable company that produces high quality custom extrusions at a competitive price. We strive to achieve market leadership by exceeding customer expectations and out-performing competitors in safety, quality, delivery, and cost
CPI started out in 1968 with one extruder and three employees in less than 5,000 square feet of production and warehousing space. CPI now occupies over 250,000 square feet of manufacturing and warehousing with 47 main extrusion machines and 21 co-extruders. We are in operation twenty-four hours a day, five days a week, with over 170 employees.
The Houghton family still owns and operates all facets of the business, which is still in the same location where it all began in 1968, right in the "Heart of Kansas." Was founded by Chester Houghton and his two partners.
